It is with great Pride and much joy that I stand here today, as the proud student of my school. I want to give God thanks for being with me and I know He will continue to do so as I elevate to a higher education level, always keeping Him by my side.


Today GOD has given me a chance to avail this opportunity of sharing my ideas on this very important topic that is character building. Which is much needed thing in this materialistic and immoral world. First of all I would like to define what is character and the forces that involve in its development.

Character is who we really are. It's what we do when no one is looking. It' s the accumulation of thoughts, values, words and actions. These become the habits that comprise our character. That character determines our destiny.q. Watch your thoughts, they become words. Character is an evaluation of a particular individual's moral qualities. It can also imply a variety of attributes including the existence of lack of virtues such as integrity, courage, fortitude, honesty and loyalty, or of good behaviors or habits. When someone is a moral character, it is primarily referring to the assemblage of qualities that distinguish one individual from another.

Now I’ll tell u the main forces that play major role in development of a character

The family is the primary character-building force in a child's life, and character education is a major family obligation. It's a parent's job to help our kids engage the world with as much trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship as possible. This challenge becomes more manageable by taking a simple approach and involving the full community in sending a common message about the standards of good character. Humility and character are the two important steps of character building. How emotional and spiritual aspects help you in developing balance character building. as someone says

family is the corner stone of our society. More than any other force it shapes the attitude; the hopes, the ambitions and the values of the child. And when family collapses it is the children that are usually damaged. When it happens on massive scale the community itself is crippled. So unless,we work to strengthen the family, all the rest. Schools, playground and private concern will never be enough. give me good mothers I shell give u good nation shows the power of influence of mothers in character building of a child 2nd force of course is teacher.

The role of teacher is very important because the main aim of the teacher is the character building of the students through academics. teachers have to activate the minds as well as the body of our students.

. Education should aim at the balanced growth of the total personality of a student through the training of his spirit, intellect, his rational self, feelings and bodily senses. This can only be done by a teacher. He not only caters the spiritual development of the student but is also responsible for the development of the soul—the mind and body.q.Character is the foundation stone upon which one must build to win respect. 3rd factor is the company of a child: We must not acquaint with bad friends , because if we make friends with the people who have bad habits , we will learn their bad habits after couple of month. We have many different emotions, and they seem to add to our lives and make it become interested.

Emotion is the part of a person’s character that consists of feelings such as love, fear or anger. Emotional is a thing that connected with people’s feeling. Emotional is very important for us in our life. We must always control our’ emotion, try to not get angry to others .Let me end by giving some quotations on character and character building.

Understanding the history of mathematics

Children will likely learn their basic math skills in school but most K-12 curriculums overlook the history of mathematics itself. This subject may prove especially helpful to a child experiencing challenges in math, as they will see that the subject has been a culmination of years of hard work and discovery, a process built upon by bright and industrious individuals.


The term “mathematics” originates from Greek root words that tell us that the subject, at its heart, is about learning, not about numbers. Mathematics did not develop out of idleness and boredom but instead out of a human desire for organization, a need to measure, calculate, estimate, and make everyday activities more efficient. The counting of basic supplies and necessities- crops, food and animals - led to the more complex counting of time, eventually leading to days, seasons and years. As human civilizations developed and grew, so did the need for math. Every science relies upon basic mathematical rules in its practice.


Each culture has had its own important developments in mathematics. Babylonian mathematicians, working in 2000 B.C.E., developed theories that were later tested and built upon by dedicated Greek thinkers. Indian mathematicians working from 1500-1600 C.E. developed the concepts of zero and infinity as well as negative, irrational, and binary numbers. The Arab countries were known to use three different types of counting systems in the eleventh century: finger-reckoning arithmetic, the sexagesimal system, and the Indian numeral system. The finger-reckoning system had numbers written in words and counting done on fingers. The business community prevailing at that time made extensive use of this system. The sexagesimal system used numerals denoted by letters of the Arabic alphabet and was primarily used by Arabic mathematicians for astronomical work while the Indian numeral system utilized Indian numerals and fractions with the decimal place-value system allowing most of the advances in numerical methods by the Arabs.


While mathematics continued to progress throughout Greece and later in Europe, the efficiency with which math was calculated improved as well. Mathematical symbols became more organized, allowing for new and important discoveries in the field. Your children should understand that mathematics was born out of necessity, developed out of curiosity and a desire for efficiency, and was perpetuated by teamwork.
