Complex Numbers
A number which can be written in the form
Z = X+ iY ,where X is called a real number and Y is called a complex number.
A complex number has two parts:
- Real part: the part of complex number containing real number is called real part.
- Imaginary part: the part of complex number containing imaginary number is called imaginary part.
In real number, there is no gape between any two consecutive real numbers, while in complex gapes may exist.
we can say that which number is smaller and which is larger and what is the difference between two real numbers.while in case of complex numbers, we cannot say which complex number is smaller and which is larger and what is the difference between two complex numbers.
