What Is the GRE Test?
GRE stands for Graduate Record Exam. GRE Test is a competitive entrance exam designed and conducted by ETS. The ETS is run by well qualified professionals and it is responsible for administering a number of standardized entrance tests across US.

- ANALYTICAL REASONING — Measures critical thinking and analytical writing skills, specifically the test taker's ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and effectively. There are two writing tasks:
· Verbal reasons — Measures reading comprehension skills and verbal and analogical reasoning skills, focusing on the test taker's ability to analyze and evaluate written material. This part includes 4 types of questions: Antonyms, Analogies, Sentence Completions and Reading Comprehension
· Quantitative Reasoning — Measures problem-solving ability, focusing on basic concepts of arithmetic, algebra, geometry and data analysis. This part includes 3 types of questions: Quantitative Comparison, Problem Solving, and Data Interpretation

Another interesting thing about the GRE. Most colleges don't care! When I called one of my prosepective graduate schools they said that the GRE is usually the last thing they look at when deciding whether or not to accept you
